Tradition meets innovation

For over 25 years, we have been developing and producing high-quality wall clock kits in our Bavarian manufactory, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern precision engineering. Our mission is to make the fascination of mechanical timekeeping accessible to everyone.

Our history

The idea behind the Mechanica clock kits was clear from the very beginning: to give people with no prior watchmaking experience the opportunity to build their own mechanical clock using easy-to-follow instructions – and to gain fascinating insights into the world of watchmaking along the way.

In 2003, the Erwin Sattler precision clock manufactory founded Müller & Sattler Uhrenbausatz GmbH. The Mechanica M1 marked a true innovation: the first precision pendulum clock offered as a clock kit for self-assembly. Over the years, the collection has been continually expanded – first with table clocks, later with special limited editions, all developed for self-assembly. The fascination with mechanical movements and the desire to pass on this rich craft tradition remain our driving force to this day. From the very start, one central principle has applied: that every component meets the same high quality and precision standards used in the Erwin Sattler precision clock manufactory itself.

The components of our clock kits are made in the Erwin Sattler manufactory near Munich, where traditional craftsmanship and the highest precision have been cultivated for decades. From here, our clock kits find their way to customers all over the world, making the fascination of mechanical clockmaking something that can be experienced internationally.
